Bitcoin fell below $70,000 for the first time in nearly two months amid concerns over tensions between the United States and Iran, as well as following a sale of bitcoins by Strategy. This was reported by Bloomberg.<\/p>\n
During European trading hours, Bitcoin declined by more than 3% to $69,500, reaching its lowest level since April 7. The cryptocurrency later recovered part of its losses and climbed back above $70,000, although it remained under pressure.<\/p>\n
The broader digital asset market also experienced declines, with Ethereum, Solana, and other cryptocurrencies posting losses.<\/p>\n
\u201cGeopolitical uncertainty combined with concerns about Strategy\u2019s balance sheet is putting significant pressure on Bitcoin,\u201d said Caroline Mauron, co-founder of Orbit Markets.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Michael Saylor\u2019s company Strategy reported its first Bitcoin sale since late 2022, disposing of digital assets worth approximately $2.5 million.<\/p>\n
Another factor weighing on the market has been exchange-traded funds (ETFs), which had previously supported the cryptocurrency\u2019s growth. According to Bloomberg, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a record streak of outflows, with investors withdrawing nearly $3.5 billion over 11 consecutive trading days.<\/p>\n
