The Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv has frozen the bank accounts of UkrArmoTech, a company that supplied armored vehicles and components to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as part of a criminal investigation. This is according to materials published in the Unified State Register of Court Decisions.<\/p>\n
According to Mind, the company\u2019s assets worth UAH 2.1 billion have been frozen amid suspicions related to the supply of allegedly substandard electronic warfare (EW) systems for military vehicles and the possible diversion of funds through overseas schemes. Investigators are currently examining contracts for the supply of GYURZA\/TISA armored vehicles equipped with MOROK-5 electronic warfare systems manufactured by Tactical Technology. During testing, these systems were allegedly found to be ineffective against FPV drones and unsuitable for combat conditions. Despite this, the vehicles reportedly continued to be delivered to military units.<\/p>\n
The investigation is also reviewing information regarding the possible overpricing of imported chassis used for armored vehicles. Media reports indicate that vehicle platforms from the UAE, the United States, and China were purchased through intermediary companies in the Czech Republic, and that prices may have been inflated by between 15% and 230%.<\/p>\n
Separately, investigators are examining suspicions of possible capital outflows abroad. In particular, according to Mind, the case involves the withdrawal of more than $14 million through accounts in the Czech Republic and the alleged use of part of these funds for personal purchases, including Ferrari parts.<\/p>\n
At present, these allegations have not been formally brought as charges and remain part of the investigation\u2019s working hypotheses.<\/p>\n
Armored vehicles equipped with the aforementioned electronic warfare systems were manufactured under contracts for the Defense Procurement Agency, the State Border Guard Service, the National Guard, and the National Police of Ukraine.<\/p>\n
