The Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade has decided to launch an anti-dumping investigation into imports of coated carbon steel flat products to Ukraine from Turkey, Vietnam, South Korea, and India. This was reported by Government Courier.<\/p>\n
The decision was adopted following a review of complaints filed by Ukrainian producers and conclusions provided by the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture.<\/p>\n
The complaint contains data indicating a significant increase in imports of the relevant products during 2022\u20132024 \u2014 by 4.5 times in absolute terms, as well as by 2\u20132.5 times relative to production and consumption in Ukraine.<\/p>\n
The weighted average import prices of goods originating from these countries showed a downward trend starting in 2023. They were significantly lower than the average prices of products manufactured by the Ukrainian complainant producers and hindered price increases for such products on the domestic market that would otherwise have occurred in the absence of dumped imports.<\/p>\n
The Commission concluded that there are sufficient grounds to believe that the imports may have been carried out at dumped prices and may have caused injury to the domestic producer or created a threat of such injury.<\/p>\n
The investigation has been assigned to the Ministry of Economy. The ministry will register interested parties within 30 days and will review submitted materials and comments within 60 days.<\/p>\n
