The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine<\/span><\/span> has approved a decision to hold a tender for the construction of more than 1.3 GW of new generating capacity under the country\u2019s Resilience Plans and has defined the conditions for the competition. Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced this on Telegram.<\/p>\n

According to her, the Kyiv Oblast<\/span><\/span> and Cherkasy Oblast<\/span><\/span> regions will receive a quota of 250 MW, while Sumy Oblast<\/span><\/span>, Kharkiv Oblast<\/span><\/span>, and Poltava Oblast<\/span><\/span> will receive 872 MW. Dnipropetrovsk Oblast<\/span><\/span> and Odesa Oblast<\/span><\/span> will each receive 100 MW.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe purpose of the competition is to strengthen the resilience of the energy system and cover the capacity deficit caused by Russian attacks on energy infrastructure. New facilities will be built in the regions where the need is greatest,\u201d Svyrydenko stated.<\/p>\n

The head of government noted that applications may be submitted within three months after the Ministry of Energy officially announces the competition.<\/p>\n

A special incentive mechanism has been introduced for participants: payments for services related to the development of generating capacity will amount to up to \u20ac0.2792 per kWh for five years after the facilities are commissioned.<\/p>\n

The maximum period for commissioning the new generating facilities is set at 20 months. Requirements regarding the engineering protection of energy infrastructure facilities have also been established.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe continue to systematically expand distributed and backup generation as part of preparations for the next heating season and future energy challenges,\u201d Svyrydenko emphasized.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
