The bank\u2019s press service announced the decision.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"431\" data-end=\"805\">\u201cPrivatBank, Ukraine\u2019s largest bank, today successfully defeated attempts by its former owners, Ihor Kolomoisky and Hennadiy Boholyubov, to overturn the court ruling issued against them in July 2025. Accordingly, the order requiring Kolomoisky and Boholyubov to pay PrivatBank more than $3 billion in damages, interest, and legal costs remains in force,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"807\" data-end=\"1016\">The Court of Appeal upheld the original ruling of the High Court of England and Wales that Kolomoisky and Boholyubov committed large-scale fraud against the bank and must compensate it for the losses incurred.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1018\" data-end=\"1214\">In particular, the Court of Appeal rejected the former owners\u2019 arguments that they had repaid the misappropriated funds using proceeds obtained through further fraudulent actions against the bank.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1216\" data-end=\"1516\">\u201cIn 2017, the bank obtained a worldwide freezing order over the defendants\u2019 assets.
