Automotive group Stellantis<\/span><\/span> has unveiled a new five-year development strategy with total investments amounting to \u20ac60 billion, according to Reuters<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

By 2030, Stellantis plans to launch 60 new models, including gasoline-powered vehicles, hybrids, and fully electric cars. According to the group\u2019s chairman Antonio Filosa<\/span><\/span>, the strategy is \u201cgrounded in reality\u201d and is intended to ensure stable and profitable growth.<\/p>\n

The company also outlined a new hierarchy among its 14 brands. Around 70% of product and brand investments will be allocated to Jeep<\/span><\/span>, Ram<\/span><\/span>, Peugeot<\/span><\/span>, Fiat<\/span><\/span>, and the commercial vehicle division Pro One<\/span><\/span>. Other brands, including Chrysler<\/span><\/span> and Alfa Romeo<\/span><\/span>, will receive more regionally focused positioning.<\/p>\n

Stellantis will place particular emphasis on affordable vehicle models, which are expected to drive both sales growth and profitability.<\/p>\n

As part of the new plan, the company will also invest \u20ac24 billion in platforms, powertrains, and technologies. By 2028, Stellantis aims to reduce annual costs by \u20ac6 billion compared to 2025 levels.<\/p>\n

The new strategy also envisions more efficient use of the group\u2019s factories. Stellantis plans to turn excess manufacturing capacity into a source of profit by offering contract manufacturing services for third-party companies instead of maintaining underutilized plants.<\/p>\n

Another key element of the strategy will be broader use of partnerships. The company has already announced cooperation with Chinese automakers Leapmotor<\/span><\/span> and Dongfeng<\/span><\/span>, as well as with Tata Motors<\/span><\/span> and Jaguar Land Rover<\/span><\/span> in the United States.<\/p>\n

In the technology sector, Stellantis will collaborate with Qualcomm<\/span><\/span>, Applied Intuition<\/span><\/span>, and autonomous driving startup Wayve<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Despite the ambitious plans, investors reacted cautiously: Stellantis shares on the Milan stock exchange fell by more than 5% following the announcement of the strategy.
