According to Motor1, the funds will be used for the development and production of new Jeep and Peugeot models for both the Chinese and international markets.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"350\" data-end=\"671\">The first vehicles under the new project are expected to debut in 2027. Each brand will receive two new models. All of them will belong to the NEV category \u2014 the term used in China for electrified vehicles, including hybrids, fully electric cars, and models equipped with gasoline-powered generators for battery charging.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"673\" data-end=\"915\">Production of the new vehicles will be organized at the Dongfeng Peugeot Citro\u00ebn Automobile joint venture plant in Wuhan. Dongfeng will provide the majority of the investment, while Stellantis\u2019 contribution will amount to around \u20ac130 million.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"917\" data-end=\"1233\">The company stated that the new Jeep models will feature a strong off-road character. Meanwhile, the upcoming Peugeot vehicles will be inspired by the Concept 6 and Concept 8 prototypes previously unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show. These concept cars showcased the brand\u2019s new design language for the Chinese market.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1235\" data-end=\"1431\">Cooperation between the French side of today\u2019s Stellantis group and Dongfeng has lasted for more than three decades \u2014 the PSA Peugeot Citro\u00ebn joint venture was originally established back in 1992.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1433\" data-end=\"1777\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">In addition to launching new models, the companies also signed a memorandum on further strategic partnership.
