The Kryukiv Railway Car Building Works (KVBZ) has delivered a batch of new tank cars to the Western Fuel and Energy Company (ZPEK). This was reported by the plant\u2019s press service.<\/p>\n
\u201cZPEK LLC\u2019s investment program for the purchase of rolling stock amounts to approximately UAH 250\u2013300 million. Under the signed agreement, KVBZ is currently manufacturing the first 30 tank cars for transporting petroleum products,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n
It was noted that the ZPEK group of companies is \u201cone of the dynamic operators of the Ukrainian fuel market.\u201d<\/p>\n
KVBZ and ZPEK also signed a memorandum on further cooperation, which provides for the expansion of the railcar fleet and the development of a long-term partnership.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor us, this is not a one-time deal but part of a systematic strategy. Today, the fuel market is primarily about logistics. Whoever controls logistics controls business stability,\u201d said Oleh Chykyda, CEO and co-owner of the ZPEK group of companies.<\/p>\n
According to him, ZPEK consistently invests in its own infrastructure in order not to depend on external factors and to maintain the ability to scale.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnother important point is that we consciously work with Ukrainian manufacturers. Under current conditions, this is not only about economics but also about principle. While part of the market is taking a wait-and-see approach, we are investing in development \u2014 in ourselves, our partners, and in the country,\u201d Chykyda added.<\/p>\n
The Western Fuel and Energy Company (ZPEK) is a Ukrainian fuel market operator developing import, wholesale trade, and petroleum product logistics operations. The company is building its own supply infrastructure, including transportation and storage solutions, and consistently investing in its expansion. In 2025, ZPEK demonstrated significant growth in operating volumes and became one of the notable players in the fuel import segment, particularly in rail transportation.<\/p>\n

The company has a full production cycle and many years of experience in both domestic and foreign markets. Its products are operated in Ukraine and exported abroad.<\/p>\n
According to the interim report published in the disclosure system of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, the plant ended the first quarter of 2026 with a loss of UAH 47.56 million, whereas during the same period in 2025 its net profit amounted to UAH 3.34 million. Net revenue fell threefold to UAH 371.12 million.<\/p>\n
The plant sold 74 freight railcars, including 61 units in March alone (3 in January and 10 in February).
