This was reported by Chief Financial Officer Kevan Parekh to the Financial Times, emphasizing that smartphone sales drove record results for the second quarter of the 2026 fiscal year.

According to him, demand for the new models was so strong that the company even increased its market share. CEO Tim Cook confirmed this trend, noting that interest in the devices was “extraordinary,” although supply chains were unable to fully meet demand due to limited flexibility in sourcing components.

The key issue has been the A19 and A19 Pro processors, manufactured by Taiwan’s TSMC. The company’s capacity is partly occupied with producing chips for artificial intelligence systems, which limits the number of processors available for smartphones. Additional pressure on supply is also coming from a shortage of RAM.

Apple acknowledges that these factors could affect the next generation of smartphones as well. The iPhone 18 series, which is traditionally expected to be unveiled in September, may also face production challenges. At the same time, according to preliminary reports, this lineup could become the first to feature a foldable iPhone model.

[9
["post-151553","news","type-news","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","newscat-novosti
["GET
