Porsche is preparing to fully end production of the gasoline version of the Porsche Macan by the summer of 2026, Carscoops reports.<\/p>\n

CFO Jochen Breckner confirmed that in the final months the company will try to produce as many vehicles as possible, although the main constraint is not production capacity but the supply of components. After assembly ends at the Leipzig plant, sales will continue for some time\u2014certain markets may receive vehicles until 2027, but volumes will gradually decline.<\/p>\n
It was previously expected that the electric successor, the Porsche Macan Electric, would fully replace the gasoline version. However, reality has proven more complex: demand for the EV has been lower than expected. In the first quarter of 2026, Porsche sold more than 10,000 gasoline Macans, while the electric version reached just over 8,000 units. In Europe, the internal combustion model has already largely disappeared from the market.<\/p>\n
The Macan remains a key model for the brand, accounting for a significant share of sales. That is why Porsche has already revised its strategy: a new generation of the crossover with an internal combustion engine or hybrid powertrain is now in development.
