American company Meta has introduced a new AI model called Muse Spark. It is described as Meta\u2019s most powerful model and the first developed by its AI lab, Meta Superintelligence Labs (MSL), which was established last year. This was announced in the company\u2019s blog.<\/p>\n

The main goal of the lab is to develop so-called superintelligence. At the same time, Meta is already working on even more advanced models and plans to create an entire Muse model series.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are on the path toward personal superintelligence\u2014an assistant that can help everyone, everywhere, with what matters most to them,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n

The company describes Muse Spark as a \u201cnatively multimodal reasoning model with support for tool use, visual chain-of-thought reasoning, and multi-agent orchestration.\u201d<\/p>\n

Muse Spark is designed for integration into Meta\u2019s ecosystem and has already been embedded in the Meta AI chatbot (app and website). In the coming weeks, the company plans to roll it out to WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, as well as AI-powered glasses.<\/p>\n

Meta expects the model to make the chatbot smarter and faster, and enable features such as citing recommendations and user content from Instagram, Facebook, and Threads. According to the company, integration of the new model has already improved Meta AI\u2019s ability to answer health-related questions.<\/p>\n

For selected partners, Meta is offering a private preview of Muse Spark via an API. Unlike its previous models, this one has closed-source code, although some versions may be released as open-source in the future.<\/p>\n

According to internal testing results, Muse Spark outperformed Google\u2019s Gemini in several benchmarks, while in others it was comparable to models from OpenAI and Anthropic. It also significantly surpassed Grok, developed by Elon Musk\u2019s xAI, across many metrics.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
