This is evidenced by data from <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Rosstat<\/span><\/span>, reported by the pro-government newspaper <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Vedomosti<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"408\" data-end=\"540\">According to the results of 2025, the combined losses of organizations increased by 7.5% year-on-year, reaching 8.9 trillion rubles.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"542\" data-end=\"753\">A total of 17,200 companies \u2014 or 27.1% of the total \u2014 reported losses. At the same time, 46,400 organizations posted profits. Together they earned 35.9 trillion rubles, which is 1.3% less than the previous year.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"755\" data-end=\"1035\">Following the weaker financial results, investment activity also declined. According to <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Rosstat<\/span><\/span>, investment in fixed capital fell by 2.3% in 2025 after four consecutive years of growth \u2014 8.4% in 2024, 9.8% in 2023, 6.7% in 2022, and 8.6% in 2021.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1037\" data-end=\"1204\">This trend occurred despite a reduction in the key interest rate by the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Central Bank of Russia<\/span><\/span> by five percentage points \u2014 from 21% to 16% annually.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1206\" data-end=\"1361\">Analysts noted that the decline in the net financial results of Russian businesses is linked to rising costs and worsening conditions in commodity sectors.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1363\" data-end=\"1505\">\u201cPressure came from lower export prices in the first half of the year, sanctions restrictions, and rising logistics costs,\u201d experts explained.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1507\" data-end=\"1852\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">According to <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Alexander Chernov<\/span><\/span>, the situation in the economy remains uneven. Profits in manufacturing increased by 6.6%, while the financial sector recorded growth of more than 50%.
