{"id":151247,"date":"2026-03-06T18:00:13","date_gmt":"2026-03-06T16:00:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ldaily.ua\/?post_type=news&#038;p=151247"},"modified":"2026-03-04T19:16:36","modified_gmt":"2026-03-04T17:16:36","slug":"milyardna-ugoda-speedtest-i-downdetector-perehodyat-do-accenture","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/ldaily.ua\/en\/news\/novosti\/milyardna-ugoda-speedtest-i-downdetector-perehodyat-do-accenture\/","title":{"rendered":"Billion-Dollar Deal: Speedtest and Downdetector to Be Acquired by Accenture"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"81\" data-end=\"367\">Shares of <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Ziff Davis<\/span><\/span> surged 60% after the company announced it had entered into a definitive agreement to sell its Connectivity division to <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Accenture<\/span><\/span> for $1.2 billion, according to <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Reuters<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"369\" data-end=\"621\">The U.S.-based Ziff Davis agreed to sell its Connectivity division, which includes the Speedtest app by <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Ookla<\/span><\/span> and the outage monitoring service <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Downdetector<\/span><\/span>, to consulting firm Accenture.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"623\" data-end=\"745\">The sale price is subject to certain adjustments at closing. The proceeds will be taxed in accordance with applicable law.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"747\" data-end=\"1111\">In 2025, the Connectivity division generated $231 million in revenue, accounting for approximately 16% of Ziff Davis\u2019 total revenue. The company expects the division\u2019s financial results to be classified as discontinued operations in its consolidated financial statements for both the current and prior periods, beginning with the first quarter of fiscal year 2026.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1113\" data-end=\"1247\">The proceeds are planned to be used for general corporate purposes and capital allocation in line with the company\u2019s debt obligations.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1249\" data-end=\"1362\">The deal is expected to close in the coming months.
