OpenAI said the funds will be used to expand computing capacity and attract top talent to advance artificial intelligence development.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"645\" data-end=\"792\">The new $730 billion valuation does not include the newly raised capital. After the funds are added, the company\u2019s valuation rises to $840 billion.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"794\" data-end=\"1055\">Under the terms of the deal, OpenAI will use Amazon\u2019s Trainium chips and jointly develop models for Amazon\u2019s engineering teams. In addition, OpenAI will spend an extra $100 billion on <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Amazon Web Services<\/span><\/span> services over the next eight years.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1057\" data-end=\"1289\">OpenAI CEO <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Sam Altman<\/span><\/span> said the partnership with Amazon opens up new market opportunities.
