{"id":151011,"date":"2026-01-22T18:00:05","date_gmt":"2026-01-22T16:00:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ldaily.ua\/?post_type=news&#038;p=151011"},"modified":"2026-01-20T21:41:18","modified_gmt":"2026-01-20T19:41:18","slug":"renault-vyroblyatyme-drony-dlya-ukrayiny","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/ldaily.ua\/en\/news\/renault-vyroblyatyme-drony-dlya-ukrayiny\/","title":{"rendered":"Renault Will Manufacture Drones for Ukraine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"202\">At the plants of the French automotive group Renault\u2014which operated in Russia until March 2022 and owned two-thirds of AvtoVAZ\u2014drones for Ukraine will now be manufactured, the <em data-start=\"176\" data-end=\"193\">Financial Times<\/em> reports.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"204\" data-end=\"435\">The automaker has signed an agreement with the French defense company Turgis Gaillard under which drones will be produced at two Renault facilities as part of a Ministry of Defense project to provide military assistance to Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"437\" data-end=\"668\">\u201cWe were approached because of our expertise. The project is moving forward and is being led by the Ministry of Defense. We confirm our participation in this project at the request of the state,\u201d said Renault CEO Fabrice Cambolive.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"670\" data-end=\"929\">Details on which specific drones will be produced and under what terms have not been disclosed. In June, the French government approached the country\u2019s automotive and defense companies with a request to cooperate in the production of unmanned aerial vehicles.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"931\" data-end=\"1227\">Founded in 2011, Turgis Gaillard manufactures, among other systems, the long-range UAV Aarok, with a 22-meter wingspan and a payload capacity of nearly three tons of fuel, weapons, or specialized equipment.
