The opening ceremony took place on December 12 and was attended by Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade P\u00e9ter Szijj\u00e1rt\u00f3, Szeged Mayor L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Botka, Member of Parliament B\u00e9la Mih\u00e1lffy, and Rheinmetall\u2019s management, the company\u2019s press service reported.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"467\" data-end=\"789\">The new facility is the company\u2019s first large hybrid site outside Germany and will be jointly operated by the Power Systems and Electronic Solutions divisions. The total area of the site is 84,000 square meters, with more than 15,000 square meters of production space, including 8,600 square meters of manufacturing halls.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"791\" data-end=\"923\">Rheinmetall\u2019s investments in the plant have already exceeded \u20ac34 million, while the total project value is estimated at \u20ac69 million.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"925\" data-end=\"1038\">The plant is expected to create more than 300 highly skilled jobs by 2030, with over 60 positions already filled.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1040\" data-end=\"1190\">Key production areas include components for electric vehicles, hydrogen energy systems, truck engines, and electronic components for military systems.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1192\" data-end=\"1468\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Szijj\u00e1rt\u00f3 said the plant will help Hungary become one of Europe\u2019s leading centers for future technologies.
