His fortune is now estimated at $202.8 billion, Bloomberg reports.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"273\" data-end=\"496\">Three months ago, the 81-year-old businessman briefly topped the global billionaire rankings, surpassing Tesla founder Elon Musk, after Oracle shares surged amid strong demand for artificial intelligence computing capacity.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"498\" data-end=\"666\">At that time, Oracle stock jumped 36% in a single day, boosting Ellison\u2019s wealth by $89 billion \u2014 the largest one-day gain in monetary terms ever recorded by Bloomberg.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"668\" data-end=\"1073\">However, on Thursday Oracle shares plunged nearly 11% after the company raised its capital expenditure forecast for fiscal year 2026 to $50 billion. The move sparked investor concerns over Oracle\u2019s financial outlook, as the company continues to pour massive investments into AI technologies.
