This is evidenced by a study by the Economic Security Council of Ukraine (ESCU).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"343\" data-end=\"684\">The main component of the solid fuel used in Iskander missiles is ammonium perchlorate, which Russia cannot produce on an industrial scale without imported sodium chlorate. The largest suppliers of this chemical are China and Uzbekistan, which exported more than $36.9 million worth of sodium chlorate to Russia in 2024\u20132025.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"686\" data-end=\"898\">A key player in this supply chain is the Uzbek chemical plant Farg&#8217;onaazot, which is owned by the Singapore-based corporation Indorama. The corporation acquired the plant for $140 million in early 2024.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"900\" data-end=\"1044\">Last year, the plant shipped $11.4 million worth of sodium chlorate to Russia, and an additional $6.9 million in the first half of 2025.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1046\" data-end=\"1396\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">The owners of Indorama are members of the Indian Lohia family.
