For comparison, a month earlier the discount was $3 per barrel.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"505\" data-end=\"797\">The purchases confirm a cautious return to Russian crude among some Indian refineries, although total spot buying remains limited as Indian plants assess the shifting sanctions landscape. Trade talks between Washington and New Delhi are ongoing, with oil supplies remaining a sensitive issue.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"799\" data-end=\"948\">According to estimates, India\u2019s total purchases will not exceed one-third of this year\u2019s buying pace \u2014 that is, no more than 600,000 barrels per day.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"950\" data-end=\"1104\">Considering discounts and freight costs, the average price of the oil will be roughly $40\u201345 per barrel, with payments made in UAE dirhams and US dollars.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1106\" data-end=\"1423\">At the same time, some Indian refiners \u2014 including Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd. and HPCL-Mittal Energy Ltd. \u2014 continue to avoid Russian oil entirely.
