The U.S. debut had been planned for the second half of 2025, but the company told <em data-start=\"362\" data-end=\"376\">Car &#038; Driver<\/em> that the launch has been delayed \u201cuntil further notice\u201d due to \u201cchanged market conditions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"470\" data-end=\"722\">This statement raises concerns and even speculation that the U.S. release might be canceled entirely. Similar situations have already occurred with other EVs: Ram scrapped its 1500 REV model, and Volkswagen abandoned plans to bring the ID.7 to the U.S.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"724\" data-end=\"955\">The reasons are also evident from sales figures: after losing the federal tax credit for electric vehicles, demand for the EV9 dropped sharply. In October, dealers sold only 666 units, compared with 1,941 in the same month in 2024.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"957\" data-end=\"1333\">Moreover, the EV9 GT was expected to be very expensive. Although the official price was never announced, the GT-Line version starts at $71,900, so the top GT model could have cost around $76,000 or more.
