The Ryazan Oil Refinery, which supplies fuel to the Moscow region, has halted crude processing following an attack by a Ukrainian drone. Reuters reports this, citing three industry sources.<\/p>\n
The largest Rosneft refinery \u2014 which processed 13.1 million tonnes of crude last year and accounted for 5% of Russia\u2019s total refining capacity \u2014 is expected to remain offline at least until the end of the month.<\/p>\n
The drone strike on Saturday caused a fire at the facility. According to the sources, the plant\u2019s main crude-processing unit, responsible for 48% of the refinery\u2019s capacity (8 million tonnes per year), was knocked out of operation.<\/p>\n
The Ryazan refinery had already partially shut down on October 23 due to a previous drone attack, losing about a quarter of its processing capacity.
