The new Macan will feature both traditional and hybrid powertrains, complementing the current Macan Electric. The upcoming model is expected to be built on the Audi Q5 platform.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"849\" data-end=\"1078\">At the same time, Porsche is ending production of the 718 Boxster and Cayman, with the final units rolling off the assembly line this month. The next-generation 718 will also include internal combustion engine versions.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1080\" data-end=\"1230\">Meanwhile, Porsche has abandoned plans for a fully electric flagship SUV \u2014 it will now come in gasoline and plug-in hybrid versions instead.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1232\" data-end=\"1642\">Despite record sales in the U.S., the financial performance is disappointing: Porsche\u2019s operating profit fell from over \u20ac4 billion to just \u20ac40 million in the first nine months of 2025.
