The alleged \u201csale of secrets\u201d earned him $1.3 million, Reuters reported, citing a complaint filed on October 14 in the U.S. District Court in Washington.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"460\" data-end=\"642\">Prosecutors allege that between April 2022 and June 2025, Williams stole eight trade secrets from two unnamed companies with the intent to sell them to a Russian buyer.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"644\" data-end=\"800\">According to UK business records, Williams served as CEO of L3Harris Trenchant from October 2024 until his resignation on August 21, 2025.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"802\" data-end=\"1029\">The British-based company develops hacking tools that support national security operations and holds contracts with the U.S. government. It is a subsidiary of the American defense contractor L3Harris Technologies.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1031\" data-end=\"1260\">U.S. officials warn that if Russia obtained information about hacking tools used by U.S. and allied intelligence agencies, it could threaten federal systems and help adversaries improve their own cybersecurity defenses.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1262\" data-end=\"1398\">Federal prosecutors are seeking to seize Williams\u2019 home in Washington, along with luxury items, including watches and jewelry.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1400\" data-end=\"1530\">According to TechCrunch, L3Harris Trenchant has since launched an internal investigation into the leak of hacking tools.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1532\" data-end=\"1714\">Reuters was unable to reach Williams for comment.
