{"id":150482,"date":"2025-10-27T12:00:02","date_gmt":"2025-10-27T10:00:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ldaily.ua\/?post_type=news&#038;p=150482"},"modified":"2025-10-26T13:06:51","modified_gmt":"2025-10-26T11:06:51","slug":"akcziyi-rosnyefti-ta-lukojla-obvalylysya-pislya-sankczij-ssha","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/ldaily.ua\/en\/news\/novosti\/akcziyi-rosnyefti-ta-lukojla-obvalylysya-pislya-sankczij-ssha\/","title":{"rendered":"Rosneft and Lukoil Shares Plunge After U.S. Sanctions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"61\" data-end=\"232\">Shares of Russia\u2019s largest oil producers, Rosneft and Lukoil, plummeted on the Moscow Exchange following the introduction of U.S. sanctions against them.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"234\" data-end=\"406\">Over the past two days \u2014 Thursday and Friday \u2014 the combined market capitalization of the two companies fell by 424 billion rubles, equivalent to $5.2 billion.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"408\" data-end=\"730\">As of 8:11 p.m. Moscow time, Rosneft shares were trading at 389.85 rubles each, down 3% from pre-sanction levels. During the session, the price briefly dropped to 383.15 rubles, the lowest since May 2023. As a result, the company\u2019s market value shrank by 127 billion rubles (about $1.56 billion).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"732\" data-end=\"905\">Lukoil shares lost 7.2% of their value over two days, wiping out 297 billion rubles (or $3.66 billion, based on the Central Bank\u2019s official exchange rate).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"907\" data-end=\"1100\">Lukoil\u2019s main shareholder, Vagit Alekperov, Russia\u2019s wealthiest billionaire, who owns 28% of the company, lost 83 billion rubles \u2014 a little over $1 billion \u2014 in just two days.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1102\" data-end=\"1261\">Financial reports for the first half of the year already showed substantial losses: Rosneft\u2019s profits dropped threefold, while Lukoil\u2019s fell by half.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1263\" data-end=\"1539\">According to Alfa-Bank analysts, the new U.S. Treasury sanctions will further worsen the situation for these oil giants, as many counterparties may withdraw from cooperation over fears of secondary sanctions \u2014 potentially leading to a decline in exports.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1541\" data-end=\"1898\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">The sanctions target not only Rosneft and Lukoil themselves, but also numerous subsidiaries \u2014 30 owned by Rosneft and 6 by Lukoil.
