{"id":150400,"date":"2025-10-10T12:00:58","date_gmt":"2025-10-10T09:00:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ldaily.ua\/?post_type=news&#038;p=150400"},"modified":"2025-10-09T20:16:03","modified_gmt":"2025-10-09T17:16:03","slug":"ukrayina-za-den-vtratyla-60-vydobutku-gazu","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/ldaily.ua\/en\/news\/novosti\/ukrayina-za-den-vtratyla-60-vydobutku-gazu\/","title":{"rendered":"Ukraine Loses 60% of Its Gas Production in a Single Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"63\" data-end=\"230\">Russian missile and drone strikes on October 3 destroyed more than half of Ukraine\u2019s domestic natural gas production, according to a report by Bloomberg.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"232\" data-end=\"501\">\u201cAccording to people familiar with the matter, Kyiv informed its allies earlier this week that the massive Russian bombardment targeting the Kharkiv and Poltava regions on October 3 wiped out roughly 60% of the country\u2019s gas output,\u201d the publication said.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"503\" data-end=\"731\">If the attacks continue, sources told Bloomberg, Ukraine may need to purchase around 4.4 billion cubic meters of gas by the end of March, costing nearly \u20ac2 billion \u2014 roughly 20% of the country\u2019s annual consumption.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"733\" data-end=\"1070\">Following the strikes, Ukraine urgently appealed to its G7 partners for equipment to repair its energy infrastructure, while once again emphasizing its longstanding requests for additional air defense systems to protect energy facilities. Kyiv is also seeking financial assistance to help cover the cost of gas imports.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1072\" data-end=\"1496\">Since the start of the year, Ukraine has imported 4.58 billion cubic meters of gas from foreign suppliers, 3.67 billion of which were purchased after the end of the previous heating season.
