{"id":150311,"date":"2025-09-15T15:00:55","date_gmt":"2025-09-15T12:00:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ldaily.ua\/?post_type=news&#038;p=150311"},"modified":"2025-09-13T17:20:35","modified_gmt":"2025-09-13T14:20:35","slug":"ukrayina-otrymaye-vid-yaponiyi-ponad-240-mln","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/ldaily.ua\/en\/news\/novosti\/ukrayina-otrymaye-vid-yaponiyi-ponad-240-mln\/","title":{"rendered":"Ukraine to Receive Over $240 Million from Japan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"95\" data-end=\"338\">Ukraine and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development have signed a loan agreement worth $246.5 million under the SURGE program (Supporting Ukraine\u2019s Recovery through Governance Enhancement), the Ministry of Finance reported.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"340\" data-end=\"458\">The funds will be provided through the ADVANCE Ukraine Multi-Donor Trust Fund, supported by the Government of Japan.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"460\" data-end=\"790\">\u201cThe project aims to support the Ukrainian government\u2019s efforts to establish an effective public investment management system during post-war recovery and reconstruction, improve fiscal management at the local level, enhance medium-term and program budgeting locally, and strengthen revenue administration,\u201d the statement reads.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"792\" data-end=\"1050\">It is planned that by the end of this year, $229.7 million will be directed to the general fund of the state budget. Another $16.8 million will be allocated to capitalize interest payments, helping reduce Ukraine\u2019s debt servicing costs in the coming years.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1052\" data-end=\"1272\">The SURGE project has been implemented in Ukraine since 2024.
