Volvo has officially announced the end of production of its flagship V90 station wagon. The last model will roll off the assembly line this month, and there are no plans for a direct successor. What’s more, the company is seriously considering discontinuing station wagons altogether, according to Motor1.<\/p>\n
Volvo CEO Jim Rowan confirmed that the V90 will disappear in September, and the smaller V60 will also not receive a new generation after the end of its life cycle. It remains in production for now, but the model’s future is unclear.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the S90 saloon is being retained only for select Asian markets, particularly China. The petrol version is being replaced globally by the electric ES90. And the revived XC70 name now belongs not to an off-road estate car, but to a crossover \u2013 again aimed primarily at Chinese buyers.<\/p>\n
