{"id":150223,"date":"2025-09-09T12:00:48","date_gmt":"2025-09-09T09:00:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ldaily.ua\/?post_type=news&#038;p=150223"},"modified":"2025-09-07T14:34:09","modified_gmt":"2025-09-07T11:34:09","slug":"pidsankczijnyj-kytajskyj-bank-heihe-zupynyv-rozrahunky-z-rf","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/ldaily.ua\/en\/news\/novosti\/pidsankczijnyj-kytajskyj-bank-heihe-zupynyv-rozrahunky-z-rf\/","title":{"rendered":"Sanctioned Chinese Bank Heihe Halts Transactions with Russia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"121\" data-end=\"260\">China\u2019s Heihe Rural Commercial Bank, which came under EU sanctions, has stopped accepting payments from Russia, Russian media report.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"262\" data-end=\"362\">The information was confirmed by sources at two Russian banks and four importers facing the issue.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"364\" data-end=\"538\">Heihe Rural Commercial Bank had been among the last Chinese lenders willing to open correspondent accounts for Russian financial institutions that were not under sanctions.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"540\" data-end=\"750\">On July 19, the EU Council imposed sanctions on Heihe for providing crypto-related services that \u201csignificantly undermine\u201d the effectiveness of anti-Russian restrictions. The decision took effect on August 9.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"752\" data-end=\"995\">Previously, some Russian small and medium-sized businesses that had used other Chinese banks switched to Heihe. For a month after the restrictions were introduced, payments continued as normal, but last week the bank stopped accepting funds.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"997\" data-end=\"1193\">Along with Heihe Rural Commercial Bank, another Chinese lender \u2014 Suifenhe Rural Commercial Bank \u2014 was also sanctioned by the EU.
