Previously, Apple often invested in specialized equipment for its partners, but now suppliers must finance modernization on their own. This has already affected profitability, as high upfront costs and the challenges of integrating new systems reduce margins.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"689\" data-end=\"1055\">The company explains the new requirements as part of its efforts to reduce reliance on human labor, standardize production quality across countries, lower long-term costs, and more quickly onboard new suppliers.
