{"id":150174,"date":"2025-08-29T18:00:15","date_gmt":"2025-08-29T15:00:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ldaily.ua\/?post_type=news&#038;p=150174"},"modified":"2025-08-26T13:13:48","modified_gmt":"2025-08-26T10:13:48","slug":"mercedes-benz-pozbuvsya-akczij-nissan","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/ldaily.ua\/en\/news\/novosti\/mercedes-benz-pozbuvsya-akczij-nissan\/","title":{"rendered":"Mercedes-Benz Sells Nissan Stake"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"80\" data-end=\"206\">Mercedes-Benz has sold its entire stake in Nissan Motor for 47.83 billion yen ($325 million), a source told Reuters.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"208\" data-end=\"385\">The German automaker\u2019s pension trust divested its 3.8% stake in Japan\u2019s Nissan Motor for 47.83 billion yen ($324.65 million), according to a person familiar with the deal.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"387\" data-end=\"525\">Following the sale announcement on Monday, Nissan shares fell by more than 6%, marking their steepest one-day drop since early July.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"527\" data-end=\"743\">The sale comes amid investor skepticism over Nissan\u2019s recovery prospects, as the company continues to incur losses in key markets such as the U.S. and China, and recently reported a $535 million quarterly loss.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"745\" data-end=\"990\">Mercedes-Benz sold the stake at 341.3 yen per share, a 5.98% discount to Nissan\u2019s closing price on Monday. Demand exceeded the number of shares offered, with 70% of the stake purchased by the ten largest investors, the source said.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"992\" data-end=\"1131\">Mercedes-Benz explained that the stake was not of strategic significance and had been transferred to its pension assets back in 2016.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1133\" data-end=\"1294\">Renault remains Nissan\u2019s largest shareholder with a 35.7% stake.
