This is almost the same result as last year, according to Opendatabot.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"253\" data-end=\"386\">Tax expenses amounted to 21.99 billion UAH \u2014 or 22% of profits \u2014 leaving 78.07 billion UAH after taxes, the analysis notes.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"388\" data-end=\"580\">However, not all financial institutions ended up in the black in the first half of the year: 13 banks reported losses, meaning that today every fifth bank in the country is unprofitable.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"582\" data-end=\"711\">Even among profitable banks, not all showed growth: more than a third of them managed to improve their results, the study says.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"713\" data-end=\"833\">The leader in dynamics is Metabank, which grew 118 times. PrivatBank demonstrated steady growth: +14%.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"835\" data-end=\"969\">The Top 10 largest banks remained unchanged. Together, they generated 68.05 billion UAH \u2014 87% of the entire sector\u2019s profit.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"971\" data-end=\"1211\">Almost half of all Ukrainian banks\u2019 profits came from PrivatBank, with 34.88 billion UAH in profit and 11.09 billion UAH in taxes. Among state-owned banks, only First Investment Bank showed losses (-29.43 million UAH).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1213\" data-end=\"1436\">Foreign banks, on the other hand, saw profits decline by nearly a quarter, to 16.57 billion UAH. Raiffeisen remains the leader, with +10% growth, 4.74 billion UAH profit, and 1.66 billion UAH in taxes.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1438\" data-end=\"1716\">Privately owned banks also fell by a quarter, with total profits of 10.06 billion UAH. PUMB remains first with 3.57 billion UAH (a 7% decrease compared to last year).
