This is 30 times more than the combined revenues of its main competitors \u2013 Claude, Copilot, and Grok.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"373\" data-end=\"768\">In 2025, the numbers skyrocketed: from January to July alone, users spent $1.35 billion, which is 673% more than during the same period last year. On average, the app brings in nearly $193 million per month \u2013 compared to $25 million a year ago. For comparison, its closest competitor, Grok by xAI, has earned just $25.6 million since the beginning of the year, less than 2% of ChatGPT\u2019s level.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"770\" data-end=\"1168\">The popularity of ChatGPT is also reflected in download numbers. The app has been installed about 690 million times worldwide. India leads in installs (13.7%), followed by the United States (10.3%). However, the revenue picture looks different: the U.S. market accounts for 38% of total user spending, with average revenue per download reaching $10 \u2013 more than double the global average of $2.91.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1170\" data-end=\"1475\">Competitors are still far behind: Claude generates $2.55 per install, Grok \u2013 $0.75, and Copilot only $0.28. It is noted separately that Elon Musk\u2019s Grok entered the market later: at first, it was available only within the X platform, and standalone mobile apps for iOS and Android appeared only in 2025.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1477\" data-end=\"1737\">Mobile platform data does not fully reflect company revenues, since AI services also earn from web subscriptions and enterprise solutions via API.
