The announcement was made by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"339\" data-end=\"641\">The axle bolt defect may damage components that transfer power from the axle to the wheels and help them rotate. This could result in the vehicle rolling when parked without the parking brake engaged, or a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash, according to the U.S. auto safety agency.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"643\" data-end=\"706\">Dealers will replace the rear axle assemblies free of charge.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"708\" data-end=\"831\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">The recall affects 2023\u20132025 model year Ford F-150 trucks.
