{"id":150076,"date":"2025-08-13T18:00:14","date_gmt":"2025-08-13T15:00:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ldaily.ua\/?post_type=news&#038;p=150076"},"modified":"2025-08-12T22:33:50","modified_gmt":"2025-08-12T19:33:50","slug":"sud-u-niderlandah-areshtuvav-aktyvy-dochky-gazpromu","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/ldaily.ua\/en\/news\/sud-u-niderlandah-areshtuvav-aktyvy-dochky-gazpromu\/","title":{"rendered":"Dutch Court Seizes Assets of Gazprom Subsidiary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"51\" data-end=\"229\">The Amsterdam court has seized the assets of the Dutch company Gazprom Neft Middle East (GNME), a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft, according to Russian media citing court documents.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"231\" data-end=\"515\">The lawsuit was filed by investor Alcazar Capital Partners (Cayman Islands), which has been trying for years to recover a debt from the government of Iraqi Kurdistan. The company believes GNME holds property belonging to the Kurdish government that could be used to settle the debt.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"517\" data-end=\"660\">Since 2012, GNME has participated in oil and gas exploration and production in the Garmian block in Kurdistan, becoming its operator in 2016.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"662\" data-end=\"1001\">Alcazar is a subsidiary of Kuwaiti firm Agility, which in 2007 provided a $250 million loan to Korek Telecom under guarantees from the Kurdish government. After the debt went unpaid, a Kuwaiti court in 2022 ordered the Kurdish authorities to pay $490 million. However, in May 2024, a court in Erbil prohibited enforcement of that amount.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1003\" data-end=\"1379\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Alcazar sought to enforce the Kuwaiti ruling in other countries, including the Netherlands.
