{"id":150044,"date":"2025-08-07T18:00:37","date_gmt":"2025-08-07T15:00:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ldaily.ua\/?post_type=news&#038;p=150044"},"modified":"2025-08-05T22:03:59","modified_gmt":"2025-08-05T19:03:59","slug":"tesla-vtratyla-polovynu-prodazhiv-u-brytaniyi-ta-nimechchyni","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/ldaily.ua\/en\/news\/tesla-vtratyla-polovynu-prodazhiv-u-brytaniyi-ta-nimechchyni\/","title":{"rendered":"Tesla Loses Half of Its Sales in the UK and Germany"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"57\" data-end=\"269\">Sales of new Tesla vehicles in the UK and Germany dropped sharply by more than 55% in July, according to industry data released Tuesday \u2014 continuing the American EV maker\u2019s ongoing decline in the European market.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"271\" data-end=\"464\">According to the UK Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), Tesla sold just 987 new cars in July, nearly 60% less than the 2,462 units sold in the same month of 2024.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"466\" data-end=\"742\">In Germany, Tesla&#8217;s sales fell to 1,110 vehicles, down 55.1% year-on-year. From January through July, Tesla sold only 10,000 vehicles in Germany \u2014 a 57.8% decline compared to 2024, according to data from the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"744\" data-end=\"988\">Meanwhile, Chinese EV maker BYD is showing rapid growth. In July, BYD sold 3,184 vehicles in the UK \u2014 four times more than the previous year. In Germany, the company also recorded an almost 390% year-over-year increase in sales.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"990\" data-end=\"1185\">These figures confirm a worsening trend for Tesla in Europe. According to the European Automobile Manufacturers Association, Tesla has been losing market share for six consecutive months.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1187\" data-end=\"1507\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">The company now faces fierce competition from Chinese brands, alongside growing criticism over Elon Musk\u2019s public statements and ties to Donald Trump&#8217;s administration.
