The company also forecasts further declines in revenue and sales volumes.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"283\" data-end=\"419\">Key reasons for the decline include high tariffs, falling sales volumes, and increased costs related to efficiency improvement programs.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"421\" data-end=\"574\">Revenue for the first half of the year fell by 8.6% to \u20ac66.4 billion. Operating profit (EBIT) also dropped nearly 55%, from \u20ac7.9 billion to \u20ac3.6 billion.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"576\" data-end=\"852\">The company expects its annual revenue to be significantly lower than last year. Mercedes-Benz predicts that its operating margin in the passenger car segment in 2025 will be 4\u20136%, compared to 8.1% the previous year. A significant decline in sales volumes is also anticipated.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"854\" data-end=\"1132\">Profitability issues began back in 2024, when the company\u2019s net profit fell by 28% to \u20ac10.4 billion.
