Apple CEO Tim Cook received more than five million shares in honor of the 10th anniversary of his work at the company. The BBC reports this with reference to the company’s report to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).<\/p>\n
It is noted that Cook sold most of these shares for more than $ 750 million. He also donated Apple shares worth nearly $ 10 million to charity.<\/p>\n
According to Apple, the company’s shares have risen by 191.83% over the past three years. That is why Tim Cook was eligible for the award.<\/p>\n
Apple’s share price has also risen 1,200% since he became CEO on August 24, 2011.<\/p>\n
Apple now has a market value of about $ 2.5 trillion dollars.<\/p>\n
Last year, Cook agreed to a new wage package that will run until the end of 2026.<\/p>\n
