PrivatBank warns users about a new fraud scheme that uses a fake website and at the same time the bank’s logo. This was reported by the press service of the Bank.<\/p>\n
It is noted that the Bank’s security service found the site p-invest.site, which was registered by unknown individuals in the United States and which illegally uses the Bank’s logo and identity.<\/p>\n
“According to PrivatBank’s cybersecurity experts, this site is 100% fraudulent because it uses links to non-existent investment projects and companies without their consent, as well as illegally uses the identity of the Bank and other legal entities,” PrivatBank said.<\/p>\n
It is noted that fraudsters use a high-income offer to lure into a fraudulent project under a scheme that is unique to a fraudulent financial pyramid using social engineering and probable hacking.<\/p>\n
“The criminal nature of the scheme is evidenced by a one-way communication channel in the project – after filling out the form by a person, the operator of the fraudulent center gets in touch to” work out “the client,” – said in a statement.<\/p>\n
PrivatBank warns customers and Ukrainians about the danger of contact with fraudsters and participation in such projects.<\/p>\n
