The Financial Times reports.<\/p>\n<p>According to the European Commission, the investigation will find out whether Google undermines competition rules by restricting third party access to user data in order to advertise on sites and applications, but using this data for its own purposes.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Advertising is the basis for monetizing Google&#8217;s online services.
