The head of the State Fiscal Service Vadym Melnyk told about this in an interview with NV Business.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, during January-March, SFS officers seized 35.6 thousand tons of illegally produced fuel worth more than UAH 1 billion.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the SFS conducts inspections in criminal cases against those fuel market players who import additives to Ukraine to increase the octane number of gasoline, which are not subject to excise duty.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The situation with our fuel today is as follows: import outside customs control, with concealment of finished products from customs control, import of products and additives that can be used to obtain higher-octane gasoline of large volumes and a much higher price. We are now found players who import excise-free additives &#8230; The legality of their actions is checked in criminal cases, &#8220;Melnyk said.<\/p>\n<p>In general, the SFS for the four months of 2021 seized excisable counterfeit products worth 1.7 billion UAH.
