American carmaker Ford is recalling more than 661,000 Ford Explorer crossovers in North America due to problems with disconnecting the roof rails. Reuters reported this the day before.<\/p>\n
The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration requested a recall.<\/p>\n
If necessary, the dealer will install special pins and replace the damage. Since the beginning of 2020, 11 people have reported problems with railings. However, Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this technical problem.<\/p>\n
The recall includes 620,483 vehicles in the United States, 36,419 in Canada and 4,260 in Mexico.<\/p>\n
In January, it became known that Ford would recall 3 million cars due to problems with airbags. At the same time, the US regulator rejected Ford’s request to cancel the recall of the car and stressed the “significant security threat” from Takata pillows.<\/p>\n
