This was reported by the press service of the NAC on Tuesday, March 30.<\/p>\n<p>Naftogaz CEO Otto Waterlander said the company had acquired strategic assets &#8220;that enable it to confidently declare the greatest hydrocarbon production potential among European countries.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It is noted that Naftogaz and PGNiG will focus on exploring opportunities for joint exploration of new areas in western Ukraine bordering Poland. In particular, the partners allow cooperation in the Brest area.<\/p>\n<p>In turn, Robert Perkovsky, Vice President and CEO of PGNiG SA said that the company is particularly interested in the development of gas production in Western Ukraine. &#8220;This region borders our area of \u200b\u200bactivity in Poland, and our research shows its prospects,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Naftogaz reminded that they have started implementing strategic projects to increase the resource base within the Black Sea shelf, Yuzivska Square, the Carpathian region and new areas for which production sharing agreements have been concluded.<\/p>\n<p>One month ago, Naftogaz signed a memorandum with Romania&#8217;s OMV Petrom.
