The head of the Suez Canal Osama Rabi in an interview with eXtra News stated this.<\/p>\n<p>It is difficult to calculate the exact amount of losses, as the fees that Egypt charges for the passage of the canal vary depending on the size of the vessel and cargo, said Rabi.<\/p>\n<p>He also said that because of the use of dredgers managed to extract 27 thousand cubic meters of sand at a depth of 18 meters. Dredging works are underway, said Rabi.<\/p>\n<p>Also, the head of the department said that the day before 12 tugs tried to pull the container ship: some tugs were pulling the ship from the bow, some were pushing the stern.
