The manufacturer of electric cars Tesla has allowed its customers to pay for the purchase with bitcoins. This was announced on Wednesday on Twitter by the founder of the automaker, billionaire Elon Musk F.<\/p>\n
The official Tesla website states that payment is made from the customer’s bitcoin wallet: he can scan a special QR code or enter the bitcoin address and the exact amount of payment. You can only pay from one wallet.<\/p>\n
Tesla also points out that while the option is only available to US residents, the company will consider opening bitcoin payments in other countries in the future. Apart from bitcoin, Tesla does not accept cryptocurrencies for payment.<\/p>\n
According to the order page, Tesla accepts cryptocurrency at a rate at which $ 1 is approximately equal to 0.000018 bitcoins.
