Ukrzaliznytsia suffered record losses in less than 2020 – more than 11 billion hryvnias.<\/p>\n
At the same time, this year the company plans to make a profit of 3.5 billion.<\/p>\n
According to the Marlin project, Ukrzaliznytsia’s loss in the first three quarters of last year amounted to UAH 11.36 billion.<\/p>\n
Such results in UZ were explained by the fall in revenues from transportation due to the pandemic. At the same time, the growth rate of cost exceeded the growth rate of net income. The company also suffered a loss from the exchange rate difference.<\/p>\n
During this period, passenger traffic fell by 59.1% compared to 2019. Freight traffic fell by 7.3%.<\/p>\n
The company’s net income from sales for nine months amounted to UAH 55.1 billion.
