According to the publication, China is reducing its share in US debt for the fifth month in a row. At the same time, Beijing continues to increase investment in the Japanese government bond market &#8211; in the first nine months of this year, they grew by 73%.<\/p>\n<p>In September, China&#8217;s Global Times reported that China could cut US treasury stocks by about 20 percent to $ 800 billion amid escalating tensions with Washington. Officially, the Chinese government does not disclose the size of this portfolio.<\/p>\n<p>However, according to US statistics, Hong Kong reduced the portfolio of US Treasury bonds by $ 5.46 billion &#8211; to 245.47 billion in September.
