Apple has intensified work on its own search service, which will become a competitor to Google, writes the Financial Times, citing interlocutors in the mobile industry.<\/p>\n

Search marketing experts also note the growing activity of Applebot, the company’s search engine, which is used to create a large database of online materials that form the basis of any search engine. Digital marketing expert Sugantan Mohanadasan told FT that in recent weeks, Applebot has appeared on its customers’ sites “an incredible number of times.” “When the scanning speed increases, it means that they want to gather more information,” Mohanadasan said.<\/p>\n
In addition, according to the Financial Times, in its own search engine Apple offers not only links to sites, but also recommendations generated based on frequent user requests. This suggests that the company collects and processes data from iPhone owners to improve its search service, the newspaper noted.<\/p>\n

The company’s increased interest in its own search engine may be due to a recent lawsuit filed by the US Department of Justice against Google.
