If the plans will be realized, the new car will be the most budgetable in the Tesla line. Nowadays the company’s cheapest model – sedan Model 3 – costs $ 37,990.<\/p>\n
“One of the things that worries me the most is that we don’t really have a truly affordable machine, and we will do it in the future. But to do this, we must reduce the price of the batteries “- said Musk. He said that the cheaper electric car will be ready in about three years. Among other things, the billionaire said: “Over time, each automaker will have electric cars capable of traveling long distances. But not every company will be well to cope with the production. ”<\/p>\n
Musk also highlighted that he intends to increase annual production to 20 million cars. This is almost twice of the sales of Volkswagen, the record holder for this indicator, for the last year.
