According to informed sources, the Antimonopoly Committee has fined the Dnepropetrivsk pharmacy for consumer fraud. The fine for the violation of unfair anti-competition law amounted to 68 thousand UAH.
The Dnipropetrivsk regional territorial office of the AMCU asked the “Pharmacy №338”, LLC (Dnepropetrivsk) to pay the fine as soon as possible. This was said on the Pharma.net portal.
As has been established, the “Pharmacy №338”, limited liability company, has spread inaccurate information on its business activities, namely, on the advertising banner, that is placed on the facade of pharmacy establishments, was published an information in the form of inscriptions “THE PHARMACY WAREHOUSE…”, while the pharmacy is the institution engaged in retail trade of the medicines and it is not a pharmaceutical warehouse.
As a result of such actions the “Pharmacy №338”, LLC reported an inaccurate information to potential consumers about their business activity, which could affect their intentions regarding the acquisition of the goods of this company, and the company could get an illegal competitive advantage.
In addition to paying a fine, the company is obliged to bring their activities into compliance with the requirements of the unfair anti-competition law.
