Gazprom is ready to supply 5.6 billion cubic meters of gas through the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline by the end of this year, the company said on Thursday, August 19.
It is noted that in seven months Nord Stream supplied 33.7 billion cubic meters to Europe against 32.9 billion cubic meters a year earlier.
Gazprom’s statement provoked a drop in gas prices in Europe to $ 510 per thousand cubic meters.
At the same time, the occupancy of Gazprom’s gas storage facilities in Europe is at a minimum for eight years and is 18%. The four storage facilities contain about 1.8 billion cubic meters of gas out of a possible 10 billion cubic meters.
